I think the top 3 lines can handle the minutes, why would we play a fourth line that doesn't hit?

I used to drink 50 for years - Guiness - lots of different dark beers, then I went to Bud lite Lime for a long time ( couple - few years )..and then a sudden switch was a little weird for the 1st beer.
